Kate Perkins before joining the Allied Forces Foundation was the Second Secretary for Scottish Affairs and Government at the British Embassy in Washington DC.
As a British diplomat with proven government relations, public policy, and stakeholder relations experience. Proven track record of developing a country engagement strategy with the US to expand economic opportunities, policy, and education and culture exchanges to strengthen the bilateral relationship and build support for Scotland’s policy position.
A highly skilled negotiator and influencer with a deep understanding of how to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, from US Congress and Federal Government to think tanks, interest groups, trade associations and foreign Governments to shape and advance significant strategic outcomes. Comfortable representing my Government on a range of policy issues at events and conferences and over 15 years’ experience preparing Ministers and senior officials for meetings, speeches, and public-facing events.
Track record as a strong and effective leader and proven ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams to execute complex projects. Over 15 years’ experience in policy development and the legislative process.
Kate is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the AFF and supporting international relations, policy, and programs.
