Allied Forces Foundation Pipes and Drums

The Allied Forces Foundation Pipes & Drums played at the Iwo Jima Memorial during the opening ceremonies for the Marine Corps Marathon 2013 in Washington, DC, and later played for the runners as they started the race. They also performed at other venues in the city.

The Allied Forces Foundation Pipes and Drums are all volunteers. We are non-political. We honor the US-British Alliance and all our steadfast comrades in the current campaigns. We will welcome Pipers and Drummers of all nationalities who share the simple & common aims of honoring those who fight for us.

The Allied Forces Foundation Pipes and Drums enjoys the honor of having being appointed the Official Pipe Band of the Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden in Lower Manhattan, New York City, and led the 2,000 strong New York Tartan Day Parade in 2011. The AFF Pipes and Drums have featured at various AFF events, including a polo match, the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC, and at the Pentagon. The AFF Pipes and Drums plays annually on Remembrance Day at the QEII Garden, and took a lead role at the ‘Pipefest’ event held on “Intrepid”. They also fundraise for AFF on their own account.
