James Rodriguez is the Vice President, Service Excellence and Oversight at ProSphere, an Information Technology and software development & engineering company that specializes in cyber security, technical services and program management as well as health solutions. In this role Mr. Rodriguez is responsible for senior level customer engagement as well as overseeing processes and procedures within the company to ensure they are exceeding customer requirements. He is also responsible for providing direct insight, governance and proactive recommendations to the CEO and President to ensure service delivery is aligned with business goals.

Before joining the ProSphere leadership team, Mr. Rodriguez was appointed by the President of the United States as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Office of Warrior Care Policy (WCP), Office of the Secretary of Defense. In this role, Mr. Rodriguez served as the principal advisor on the coordination of recovery, rehabilitation, reintegration and employment for wounded, ill, and injured service members across the Department of Defense.​

Prior to his appointment as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Mr. Rodriguez was the Government Relations Director for Veteran and Wounded Warrior programs and also held a position as the Director of military recruitment at BAE Systems Inc. In that capacity, he was the corporate liaison for the White House Joining Forces Initiative, to senior military leaders, government officials, and nonprofit organizations, increasing the footprint of our Nation’s wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans across all spectrums of support and employment.​

Mr. Rodriguez served twenty-one years in the United States Marine Corps in various leadership positions and deployed to numerous countries across the globe.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland, University College and a Masters of Arts Degree in International Commerce and Policy from the George Mason University School of Public Policy. He is also an Associate Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland University College within The Department of Government and Politics.
