Damien Trower is a retired British Army Officer now working for Adobe Systems as the Account Director for Defence and National Security across the EMEA region. As such Damien provies specialist consultancy and support services to the Military, Security and Intelligence Communities. His last military appointment was in the British Embassy, Washington DC where he was the Assistant Attache for Joint Forces. In this role he worked alongside US DoD and the Intelligence Community to provide advice to senior leaders from both sides of the Atlantic with the ultimate aim of enhancing US and UK security. His portfolio also included support to the Special Forces, Medical and Veterans sectors – in this capacity he became connected with the work of the AFF and eventually became an active supporter of the group’s efforts.
Over his 25 year career he held command and staff appointments in Aviation, Intelligence and Training units. Damien is an Army Pilot and has served in the airborne community for over 10 years. He has an MSc in Defense Technology and an MA from Kings College London in Defense Studies. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Advanced Command and Staff Course. He has served on operations as an exchange officer with US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. He hs also completed a number of NATO operational tours and commanded aviation forces in East Africa.
He is now domiciled in the UK. Damien is responsible for AFF’s interests and activity in the United Kingdom.
In his spare time he enjoys Mountain Biking, Skiing and Triathlon. He has personally supported the AFF by running as part of TEAM SideXSide in the Marine Corps Marathon.
