The 40th MCM begins on Route 110 in Arlington, VA, between Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon, and travels along remarkable National Park landscape throughout the nation’s capital. The 2015 MCM course will take participants on an unforgettable journey from Arlington to historic Georgetown, along the picturesque Potomac, to the tip of Hains Point, onto the National Mall and parallel to the country’s most significant landmarks, and all along spectator-lined streets.

Opening ceremonies for the 40th MCM begin at 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25. Wheelchair and hand cycle participants will start at 7:45 a.m., with both the 40th MCM and MCM10K starting at 7:55 a.m.

In recognition of the 40th  anniversary of “The People’s Marathon,” the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is inviting the public to join in a “Celebration Concert” on Friday, Oct. 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. The MCM Celebration Concert is free and will be held in the family-friendly atmosphere on the Woodrow Wilson Plaza, located outside the Ronald Reagan Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, D.C.
